You know something is wrong with your kid’s school. You hear the egregious stories on the national news, and they are real, but nothing that bad is happening at your local school site.

Still, that feeling that something’s not right won’t subside.

Your intuition is correct. The problems in schools are structural; all the current insanity is symptomatic of the underlying disease.

My purpose here is to offer the macro view of traditional American public schools so you can calculate the true cost of “free” public education to your family.

I hope reading here gives you the impetus to find a better way to educate your children. There are thousands of low-cost, high-reward options. Don’t allow the insecurities the government school system imbued in you keep you from doing what’s best for your children now.
